God’s got this.
That’s the message card I shared yesterday when I visited the hospital with Cal.
And you know what?
That’s exactly the message God spoke to me yesterday morning in the shower.
It’s a done deal.
God’s got this.
Then in rushed His calming peace.
And since the Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit…
…why not share His peace with those I meet?
Why not give of what I’ve received from Him?
Because the truth is—
this world needs His peace too.
Peace Remembered, Peace Given
That book is more than just a story.
It’s God’s journey with me and now my son.
So I shared that same peace I’ve received…
With Callum in hugs, encouragement, and prayer.
And with four people I met yesterday.
It looked simple:
A smile.
A scripture.
A prayer card placed gently in their hands.
When Life Isn’t the Vacation We Planned
If there were another way to live this life—we’d take it.
Sign us up.
We are there…bags packed, ready for a vacation from problems.
But that’s not always the reality.
So what then?
Or better yet—Who then?
Our Prince of Peace then.
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” — John 14:27
Peace in the Middle of the Waves
We pray.
We praise.
And a standard of His peace is raised as we fix our hearts and minds on the Author and Finisher of our faith…
No matter life’s waves.
God’s got this.
Yesterday, He made Cal brave and brought him peace.
Callum Gabriel means, “Holy Spirit Peace, and the Lord is my Strength.”
Could it be that this journey is helping him step more fully into his carefully chosen name?
I’m not sure what God’s plans are for Callum…
…but this I do know:
He is being prepared and polished—even now—to be God’s proverbial arrow. 🏹 (Isaiah 49:2)
